The Community Animator Resource Kit is a package of information materials and tools in planning, organizing and facilitating workshops on the preparation of grant applications and proposals. Grant Resource Kit

What is the resource kit?

The Resource Kit is a package of information materials and tools in planning, implementing, reporting on and evaluating your Community Action Projects. As a recipient of funding, you will be required to submit a workplan, financial reports, an evaluation and a final report. This booklet will guide you through that process.

TOWARDS AN INCLUSIVE SOCIETY

a Capacity Building Initiative for Ethnocultural Organizations in Edmonton

Who May Participate?

This training is open to all ethnocultural communities in Edmonton. Our goal is inclusion so we welcome you as a community member or leader to talk to your community about participating in this project and selecting a respected community member to take the training.

What is the Project?

This is a leadership training program to strengthen leadership and build skills primarily in fundraising but also on how to engage youth, how to mobilize the community, working with conflict, public speaking and media relations. The training will be delivered to one representative from your community who will then deliver the training to your community leaders in the first language.

Where Will it Take Place?

This train-the-trainer program will be held at the Multicultural Health Brokers Co-op at 10867, 97 Street.

Strengthening Indigenous Leadership delivered by Lucenia Ortiz & Janina Strudwick July 6, 2006, 6-9 pm

The Voluntary Sector and Civic Participation delivered by Val Mayes, Executive Director, Edmonton Chamber of Voluntary Organizations July 27, 2006 6-9pm

Tools for Transformative Leadership delivered by Pedro Rodriguez August 19, 2006

Community Animation for Leadership Development September 30, 2006, 10am-2pm
